Bibliotech Episode 14: Author Anne Rice

My next guest is hands down the one I’m personally the most excited about. There are two authors I call all-time favorites — Stephen R. Donaldson is one, she is the other. Starting with ‘Interview With The Vampire’ and ‘The Vampire Lestat’, her Mayfair Witches and Vampire Chronicles and other books have collectively sold over 100 million copies. But now, she’s on a different path. Her latest is called ‘Angel Time’, and it’s on bookshelves everywhere — go out and get it now! Please join me in the extreme pleasure I feel in welcoming Anne Rice to Bibliotech! Anne on twitter: @annericeauthor Anne on Ning: http://annerice.ning.com/

Wow…what an amazing interview! Ms. Rice is such an amazing woman and it is exciting to see her embracing social media and for being so present in all of our lives thanks to these various mediums. Thank you for putting this interview together Mark, keep ‘em coming! :)

Great Interview Mark. She is one of my favorite author’s as well and its awesome to know that she is active within the web2.0/social media space. Best part was to find out that she has 2 G5′s and 35″ Screens!

Mark, so glad she finally gave you an interview. I love her and hate her at different times, but that is Annie. She can be mean, and she can be intensively caring, depending on her mood and what you are discussing.
YOU were professional and thorough. You had very good questions, unlike other interviewers who ask the most stupid questions. I liked her answer to your question about regression. I love how she answers to the point.
I enjoyed it so much. thanks. Cate

Pretty good interview. I must agree with the distraction of having connectivity and productivity tools on the same machine. I’ll not be buying 30 inch monitors anytime soon however.

Very, very interesting interview. One of my favorite authors – although I fell out of love with the Vampire Chronicles and was never really interested in the mayfair Witches. This new character sounds very interesting and quite unique. I will definitely be checking Angel Time out.

Looks like several folks have watched this show in 2010 … Lots has happened with Anne since this interview aired, not least of which is she suddenly became a HUGE user of Facebook and Twitter directly following it … coincidence? :) I’m going to try and get her back on the show when I reboot it in a few weeks, so if you have questions, leave them here in the comments!
