This Week in Android is making the move to This Week in Mobile THIS WEEK! The first episode with the new format will air on Friday, June 11.

Don’t worry, everyone…Ashley Esqueda and Jeff Ammons will still be hosting, and now they’ll be joined by tech expert Mike Hobbs!

We still love our Android phones, but we wanted to debate all the exciting stuff happening in the mobile space (yes, including what that team from Cupertino is working on…). We’re exploring how you can get the MOST out of your mobile purchases, and pulling no punches. Think of it as “Crossfire with Cell Phones.” Check out the debut episode this Friday, June 11, at 4 pm!

    Given that you're all clearly Android fans, I assume this is purely a move to widen the search for show sponsorship and I feel your pain at having to dilute your focus.

    I guess I'd be wishing too much to hope that you can keep your coverage of non-Android platforms to just talking about how their news reflects on Android – eg Apple banning AdMob so as to deny Google a source of statistics on iPhone use or EVO 4G vs iPhone 4.

    There must be dozens of podcasts out there about the iPhone and probably several more on Blackberries, Windows Mobile, Palm, Symbian etc etc but I haven't seen anything else like #TWIAndroid. I'm sure I'm not the only one of your viewers with no interest at all in the other platforms other than how they affect Android.

    Given that Android is the fastest growing of the smartphone platforms, I guess you're just a little ahead of the curve. Do whatever you have to do to survive. I'll try and stick with you in the hope that you'll switch back to an exclusively Android focus as soon as you can.

    i really love how it was originally was…some talk about news on Android and discussion on a good app. However, the first episode of TWIMobile was quite good. Ashley defending the Evo against Iphone 4 was hilarious. Android ftw!!!!

    I am sick of getting bombarded with iphone news, so I was not happy about the switch away from Android only coverage, at the same time, its nice to see fellow android fans fighting the iphone frenzy.

    The head to head was a good idea, but poorly implemented, rather than just arguing opinions, there needs to be some side by side, speed tests etc. Not sure if there is enough time to do this live or if you should pre record it.

    Perhaps going forward, maybe break the show into segments, Android, iPhone, Other, and also app of the week should be cross platform apps, or an app for each (major) platform.

    just my 2 cents, keep up the good work. Ashley and Jeff are awesome.
