cast member this season- there's got to be a reason for that. Here's how I see it going down: Ken either cheats, sees a prostitute, rapes someone, etc. Pete and/or Don see it or find out and decide to to use the info to "protect" Ken's wife and win the favor of his father-in-law. Cosgrove is outed and fired, his wife leaves him, his father-in-law disowns him and brings his business to SCDP in appreciation. Ken goes off deep end, kills self or someone else- leaving Pete and/or Don to have to live with the disaster they've created. I think Pete will kill himself or sink into a dangerous depression. Sal is at Ken's funeral, where he is invited back to work.Come on guys, Cosgrove is the guy who's going to go off the deep end. Am I the only one who sees this?

I can’t believe nobody’s figured out this likely twist:

Ken Cosgrove is going to be the one to go off the deep end and either kill himself or someone else (or both). Here are the clues/possible angles- he’s sexually inappropriate/aggressive (Peggy, woman at Nixon/Kennedy party), he’s living double lives as a writer/account exec, his writing is often dark and/or violent, he uses drugs (tea). And he’s being clearly portrayed as the most “together” My thoughts are that Abe was either fired from his job (for missing his deadline) or evicted from his apartment because he can't afford the rent on his own. While I do think he does want to live with Peggy, I feel his motives at this moment was not for romantic purposes, although he is a smooth talker with his own reasons to Peggy. You can see and hear Abe acting in desperation when he calls Peggy in the office to ask his question. He was nervous but also a bit aggressive as he NEEDED an answer that night. If he was truly genuine, he would have waited until the weekend when he saw her next and taken her out then and asked her then. To take Peggy out of her normal routine on a weeknight and ask such a question (and knowing she would go back to the office the same night) poses thought on why he was so eager to have an answer. If all was going well with Abe, I believe he could have waiting a couple of days to ask her. Also, he said that her apartment was better. Better because she lives in Manhattan and both of them work there or because he was evicted (or will be) and doesn't have a place for her to move into. And i don't agree with Peggy's mother that Abe will "practice" on Peggy and then move on to marry someone else. He just doesn't fit that kind of mold. If he does leave her in the future, I think it will be because of Peggy's dedication to work over him. He may have used her for paying half the rent but doubt he'll use her for sex.Just had to get that out there. Thanks for your time. Keep up the great work!!

Hello Lon, Jaime and Janie,I had another interpretation of Abe’s request to Peggy of moving in together. One idea I didn't hear (although I may have missed it) is that this episode challenged the idea that little girls in the 60's were led to believe that a Prince Charming would come along to save them.It showed in a spooky way that sometimes the prince at the door, ala the Mystery Date board game (I remember playing it with my sisters when I was a kid!) rapes and murders you. Or he, like Greg, asks you to marry him, rapes and lies to you.Or think of Don as the Prince Charming in Megan's life. He's a prince that's trying to choke the life out of his inability to be faithful (in the embodiment of Andrea) and stuffing her one-shoed body under the bed. But as the Speck murders show us, what hides under the bed, survives!I also love the woman to woman conversations between Peggy and Dawn and also with Sally and her step-grandmother. They talk about what it's like to be a woman in their times --Peggy with being a woman in a man's world and the step-grandmother about being a woman in a world where men can overpower you.Lons is a fantastic facilitator and I enjoy the discussions about the episodes very much. But I do agree with Cigarette Roulette Holder. Janie Haddad Tompkins' tendency to talk over more insightful commentators and be argumentative has made listening less enjoyable this season.

Mild criticisms of this season’s podcasts aside, I loved the Mystery Date episode!

I think the juxtaposition of Cinderella against the Richard Speck murders was brilliant. We're doing alot of these things you say. London is a great place to build this sort of profile. However, let’s not forget that Adele etc, went to the hothouse Brits school which spawned the likes of Amy Winehouse, Leona Lewis etc. Also, she had major backing. She's great though. I really have built my band craft and sound from the ground up, after many many rejections and /or dead ends from the music 'industry. I decided a few years back that I needed to go it alone. I founded my band and have endeavoured to build and manage our growth and direction. Its slow progress, but it's a great feeling to go out and perform and get the feedback direct from the public. We are selling, slowly, building, slowly. (Check us out if you have the time, links at the bottom of the page :)) http://itsbastedo.com/ Band twitter: @itsbastedo:twitter Peace, Alex

Great show.
We’re doing alot of these things you say. Maybe it's just because I'm a big fan of Jason's stuff, or maybe the fact that I have ZERO analogue gear besides my Tascam 1641 and thought I could make stuff like he does in the box. I know it's tough to fit all this stuff in, you guys kinda breezed over the "using white space, color and weight to create entry points" section. If you could talk about this topic another time in greater detail, I'd love it! Anyway, I've been watching a lot of your shows and it has been very helpful and inspiring. Keep it up!

Hey guys, thanks so much, I love the show! Sexism is pervasive, but it can fly quite easily under the radar.

I thought this was a great episode until Mark asked about Tracy’s encounters with sexism. She claims there is none. Probably because she’s in a largely female-oriented market in the retail space. Out of desperation, I finally found that I could feed script to my male partner, and it would be much more effective that if I said it. And my partner would readily tell you that I was the one with the expertise and knowledge. The real and biggest "downside" to such things as having so many incubators and people promoting them is that the young people that are trying to make it in this world get used more often because they are *impressionable* and you influence them. They also get a false sense of how much they can succeed and ultimately it makes the vast majority of them poorer than they would have been and worse off.You would be a better person to at least talk about it honestly instead of only caring about you and your own. Not cool. And I hope you take that the right way because it's the honest truth. This is why I promote lifestyle independent businesses for would be technical founders, they are much more attainable and they don't result in such a massive attrition rate. They can also be pivoted into startups that could then seek funding if they succeed in getting some small revenue.

In reply to thoughts at 18:30 –

I have to say you guys are lacking some perspective here. And why insist on calling it TV, which has already has a negative connotation (obesity, boredom, etc.)? TV is a passe term like a tape deck or VCR. Shelby curates online video using your social connections. Watching online video is not a social experience, but contains and relies on a social aspect (Reece miss-defines curation as social experience). There are many hurdles to overcome to make online video a true social experience, but the closest thing I hear is in this video is commenting and rating. User engagement will always be low for online video in general. Facebook has through the roof user engagement because people are commenting and discussing things related to them with people they know. Posting an online video and expecting comments and discussion to abound is not realistic.

Reece, please listen to Mark.
