    Are there too many charities?

    Absolutely… simply, redundancies in overhead is a waste of resources. Typically, non profits spend 20-40% of donations on salaries and overhead; which is absurd. Imagine the overhead of duplicate causes and think about the amount of people who never receive resources because agencies are not working together. If the goal is to do good for others, than let the ego go and work for good.

    Don’t start a new organization, but join the efforts of an efficient one and add a new competency to what they do. We need Mega-NPOs, not hundreds of independent NPOs working on the same cause.
