    Thanks Annie…

Another thought provoking episode. A fabulous reading on this subject, “How to Break a Terrorist”…

Soft Techniques… the next evolution of human influence. Ex. the book Nudge, Joe Navarro, game mechanics, etc.
The brain can be influenced, even when the person is aware that someone is trying to manipulate it. We as humans are only a little more sophisticated than our good ape friends. We give ourselves way too much credit!

Sorry for the multiple posts…but I’m writing as I’m listening to the show at work and I’m too ADD to wait…

I worked as the Intake Coordinator at the Salvation Army Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Center in Phoenix and learning body language and interview techniques was imperative to my job. Learning how to read convicts, drug addicts, and sociopaths is very challenging. In addition, this demographic is irrational and arguably the most sophisticated manipulators in our society.

I challenge Joe Navarro to a “Body Language Read Off”… Bottom of the barrel drug addicts with at least 2 felony convictions as the demographic. (this is my preference) … but if you can think of a more skilled group of people, I am open to the challenge!
