Story 1 –  Apple has just had its quietest launch ever by burying a cloud music service in a list of feature sets.

There has been plenty of speculation around Apple’s plans for LaLa, the music streaming technology it acquired last December. Now, Apple is offering a subtle feature lets people stream music to their iPhones, iPads and iTouch devices by using the online storage service that comes with MobileMe iDisk v1.2. Features are limited.

Story 2 – Financial services firm UBS is reporting Amazon’s cloud business could earn $500 million this year

and could even reach $2.5 billion by 2014. Seems like the bet Amazon made with AWS in 2006 is paying off.

Story 3 – A new report from IDC estimates spending for cloud computing server hardware will rise to $718 billion by 2014, up from $582 billion in 2009.

Story 4 -  Pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly, a top customer of Amazon Web Services, has decided it will NOT expand its use of the hosted service, citing a failure to agree on liability terms.

Story 5 – Nintendo President Satoru Iwata says the cloud is too lagged for casual or serious gaming
