1) New survey data from VMWorld suggests the number of IT organizations planning on building their own private clouds is a lot higher than most people think.
34% have already implemented a private cloud platform, with 23% planning to in the next 12 mos. It’s speculated many are trying to piece together private clouds w existing IT resources.

2) Salesforce has introduced Chatter mobile, w support for iPhone, iPad, Android and Blackberry apps.
In the realtime collaboration platform’s first three months open to the public, Chatter has been adopted by 25,000 companies; with 25 percent of Salesforce’s client base using the platform. The mobile version lets users monitor their Chatter feeds, which include posts from colleagues and alerts from apps, as well as post status updates and comment on conversations from their devices.

5) The cloud computing job market is healthy and growing
According to James Urquhart IT use of the cloud is growing very quickly, and demand for skills to enable that growth is climbing as a result. If you have skills related to IT operations, application administration/operations, or software development, now may be the time to dive into the cloud.
