This Week in Comedy #19 with Sonya Bender, Chandler Bolt, Irina Voronina, Randall Marsh & Carlos Alazraqui

Sundays at 6pm PDT

This week,we have a great guest lineup for you! We’ve got live music from Sonya Bender and Willis Clough, and interview with Carlos Alazraqui from Reno 911, and the cast of Chandler’s Fantasy Blog talking Russians, neck kerchiefs, and… Reebok Pumps?

Julie Mitchell ran down the comedy headlines including her upcoming appearance on House! You can find her on the show November 22nd as Chloe Jefferies. That’s the same week as Thanksgiving OR, as Ed likes to think of it; the day after the Kennedy assassination. Uh….go Julie!

Also in the news, TWO comedies topped the box office hits list: Megamind and Due Date. Conan’s new show starts this week, too! Watch and let us know what you thought- a special welcome back to Conan O’Brien from the TWiComedy team!

Vicky is a huge part of the International !@#% Movie Festival next week (think the good kind of @!#$, not the bad kind). She also reminded us not of another election poll, but of a funny, election related event John Stewart and Stephen Colbert hosted, the Rally to Restore Sanity/ Keep Fear Alive in Washington, D.C. If you missed the October 30th event, you can get your fix here.

Sonya Bender and Willis Clough start the show off with a performance of two songs from their new CD, ‘Between the Sheets‘. They talk about their history, how they met, and the CD they performed tracks off of, which is out NOW/ available on iTunes!

Also joining us in studio today, Chandler Bolt, Irina Voronina, and Randall Marsh from Chandler’s Fantasy blog discuss the site, the videos, and whether their real lives are really all that different from the videos. Also up for debate, is Irina a spy? Are all Russians spies? And what is with the kerchiefs? Are Chandler and Randy really roommates? If you can’t answer those questions and all else fails, resort to the pump shoes, which Chandler is all too happy to do.If you enjoyed, vote their clip FUNNY on FunnyorDie.com.

Last but certainly not least, Ed interviews Carlos Alazraqui. Carlos is known for playing Officer James Garcia on Reno 911! You may also recognize him as the voice of Nestor in Happy Feet or perhaps…Yo Quiero Taco Bell…a certain fast food mex mascot. Ed ponders if Officer Garcia and Carlos share any similar traits that the character (or actor) may have influenced. As a personal favor, Ed also has Carlos channel Inside the Actors Studio briefly.

For the full scoop, you’ll have to watch the show. Don’t forget our contest to win a copy of Blue Mountain State by tweeting the hashtag #TWiCOM before next week’s episode.
