Game Review (2:00)
Burch reviewed a game called “100 Rogues” for the iPad, a top-down role playing game for the iPad. He said that the game “mind boggling addictive” and that the developer’s design choice to make the game turn-based made the game more playable on the iPad. The game is available for $4.99 on the iPad.

iPad Overheating – A lawsuit alleges that the iPad overheats in outdoor usage. Burch referred to the lawsuit is “silly” and a result of the “legal culture we live in.” Harris said that he has not experienced overheating issues with his iPad.
Geeks Hate the iPad – Harris discussed a recent survey from MyType which suggested that iPad users are “elite”, “selfish” and “wealthy.” Harris joked that iPad users may become a minority group which need protection. Roberts joked that iPad users will protest making use of their iPads in lieu of cardboard signs.
Sports Illustrated App – Apple has rejected an iPad application for Time which would be an ongoing subscription to Sports Illustrated. Burch said that Apple needs to provide clearer rules as to what types of applications will get approved and what wont. Roberts said that the AppStore is not currently setup to handle recurring subscriptions.chie

Harris and Roberts discussed how the Comixology application and its branded counterparts are bringing more readers into comic book stores with its retail store finder feature.
Roberts discussed the choice to show the full page of a comic or cut up the page using the “guided view” feature that the app offers. Harris asked whether or not there was concern about the company over-editorializing the app, but Roberts said that ComiXology has received good feedback from producers.
Harris asked about the company’s work with DC Comic and Marvel. Roberts discussed the consistent UI in branded Comixology applications and the ability to interchange content between the various versions of the apps and online.
Roberts also discussed future plans to develop ComiXology’s experience on the iPad and to expand its content offerings.
Flip Board (42:00)
Harris demoed the social news reading application “FlipBoard” which has gained significant notoriety during the last two weeks. The hosts discussed the controversy whether or not FlipBoard is scrapping content in violation of copyright law. Burch said that FlipBoard’s algorithm to select content was a bit random.
