The epic win of the week was the creation of the HTC 1, by an 18 year old designer. The epic fail of the week was that Motorola has in place measures that take away the openness of Android.

The interview of the week was with William Powers, author of Hamlet’s Blackberry. Powers came on the show to talk about connecting constantly digitally.

  Another great ep. The book review was a little off-track IMO. I would rather listen to more smack talk on mobile devices.

  This is insane.

  I love listening to you guys, mainly because of your personalities and passion for the technology, but I’m growing sick of the competitive nature of these OS wars. Both iOS and Android seem to be great systems, with positives and negatives. If you have above average computer skills and you’d like absolute control of your phone, then buy an open sourced system. If you open the hood of your phone, and are positively terrified by what lies underneath, then do yourself a huge favor and buy a closed OS system.

  It’s literally that simple.

  I really wish you guys would try to steer people into the direction that’s right for them instead feeling a sense of pride in one upping each other over the most mundane features of a phone.

  Far too often we believe that everyone shares similar knowledge or interest as we do, but the reality is that everyone has different interest and taste. A phone is a TOOL used to communicate, that’s evolved into a mobile PC. That’s all. If you can’t adapt to your tool, then the problem is you, not the device.

  Hope I don’t sound like a prude, cuz your show is informative and entertaining, I just wish there where more substance of phone functions, a little less griping about systems and, more reasoning behind feature sets. Even if the reasoning is totally theoretical. In short just be a bit more objective.
