How is that the audio file is 340 Megs?
The download is too large to be downloaded from my phone. :(

Totally agree why is a mp3 file of talk audio so big, drop it down to 64kbps?

  • Emily

I will upload a smaller one. Sorry about that!

  • Emily

    Got it down to 78.4MB

The iTunes Video File is massive as well, it’s nearly 2GB’s(1.65GB) in size compared to the normal 400-600MB’s. Is there something you can do about that as well?

  • Saad Shamim

You guys should use vimeo video player and put full HD videos on

Very enjoyable show. It occurred to me while watching this episode that Jason has a real talent for choosing people with a high level of personal integrity as team members and guests (or he has a talent for grooming them to come across that way on the show….lol!). It’s much more fulfilling and inspiring to see / hear the guests’ personal stories when it feels like they are genuinely good people…..and the TWiST gang is exactly that. Cool!

Also…..a shout-out for Tyler and Lon….they really shine in this episode. This isn’t to say that they “steal the show”, just that they contributed high quality perspective whenever they chimed in.

Along those lines……are there other companies that followed Mahalo’s lead (or blazed the trail before Mahalo did it)…..where very early on……even pre-funding of any kind….. a founding CEO brought on board a “right hand man” whose original position was pretty much “Executive Assistant”? Tyler’s presence / contribution to Mahalo sure supports the position that such a person is a critical early hire. Any other examples / names that we might have heard of?

    CHEERS!

A smaller version of the MP4 is now up (760 MB) We don’t record in HD, but if you have advice on converting these files to HD quality that will keep the file size small please let me know at emily@mahalo.com

When Jason & Co talk about the tech world – or even, gasp, startups – they have unique and valuable insights. When they talk about politics, orcas, fat people, they’re just loud guys in the bar you wish would STFU.

    Just a bit of feedback.

Towards the end, when Jason is talking about Yammer, Andy mentions Icebox at 2:21:47.

What is Icebox? I couldn’t find a link to it.

The shark tank pitch was really good. The other thing that wasn’t really hit on was that these people create really cool video content, which can be used to market the site. Does YouTube have a syndicated uploader you could use?

If so, you would publish to YouTube from your site, and include a link / info about the site in the description of each video published that way.

Not seeing a link to download an mp3 file.

Any way of doing this without bringing itunes into it.

    Cheers

love the show. Very inspirational. When I try to watch you tube videos from your site, I get a video format not supported. I also get the same message from recent videos in the iTunes feed. Thought I would let you know. Other than that your program is top notch. A definate must watch/listen.

I forgot to mention that I am using an iPhone.

Marc – We are working on this and hope to have it fixed soon.
