    Career Progression/Advice:-

1.What should undergrads with a business degree do after college if entrepreneurship is the long-term goal?
2.What value do we bring in the earliest stages of a startup?

I am senior at DePaul (small school in Chicago) majoring in Finance/Accounting. Have an opportunity to work at a Big 4 Accounting Firm within their Transaction Services Group (Financial Due Diligence of PE targets). Mid-size Investment Banks also recruit at DePaul. Are these good places to start if the long-term goal is to be in the web consumer space?

Start here, get an MBA from a top school and move on to a tech company? Or find a startup that will give you something to do even if that means eating Ramen noodles rather than the 60k+ at Accounting, Financial or Mgmt Consulting firm?

Google Earth was from the acquisition of Keyhole not Google Maps. Different products.

I wonder if the statement at 36:23 shows a little of that HBS hubris.

    Great guest this week!

  • EA

First off, love the show and great interview but I want to see Vcs/angels as guests, not entrepreneurs, he should be a guest at twist .
This show should be all about investing.
