I dont know him, so I dont know if right now is a pretty bad situation through the movie, but I think Sean Parker would be a really great talk for this show & context.

Does anyone else think this is now just like TWiST? An interview with an entrepreneur, there’s very little VC content… Was hoping for some news, deals etc…

Lots of good info on this episode, here are a few of my notes: -Always have a continuous feedback cycle from your viewers. Make it easy for them to give you feedback (ie forums) -If you really believe in something, go at it 100%. Nothing should stop you. -Always have great mentors -Sequoia is probably the best VC firm in the world. -Consensus doesn’t scale. -Have meeting with your venture capitalists and board members (individually?) separate of every meeting. Eliminates surprises. About 2 weeks before the meetings. These discussions are more important than board meetings. -35% of internet is social communications. 65% is not social (content, gaming, etc) but will have a social layer. -Great skills but no culture fit is a no hire. -If you’re a nobody with no traction, it’s almost impossible to meet VC’s. If you’re a nobody with traction, you meet more VC’s. -Startups must stay focused. Avoid founder ADHD as much as possible.
I’m sure I’m missing something, it was such a great episode.
